Christopher Covato

Being immersed in the aerospace industry for more than 40 years and the financial industry for the better part of two decades, I have had the opportunity and privilege to work closely with some of the most brilliant professionals. I came to the realization that there were unique unmet financial needs for these professionals lending to the development of a suite of models and programs to meet those needs and help provide them with their best quality of life.
Christopher began his professional and financial services career in 1989 as a registered representative of Paine Webber & Company (“Paine Webber”). As a broker-dealer representative at Paine Webber’s Erie, Pennsylvania offices, Mr. Covato advised clients and solicited client orders with respect to transactions in securities, futures contracts, and insurance products. Following his departure from Paine Webber in 1991, to provide a broader range of products and services to his various clients, Christopher was instrumental in growing Covato/Lipsitz Inc. (“Covato-Lipsitz”), a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based registered broker-dealer, and Covato Futures Corporation (“Covato Futures”), an Erie, Pennsylvania based introducing broker clearing futures transactions through Geldermann & Co. Inc.
He further became associated with Covato Research Corporation (“Covato Research”), a family-owned Pennsylvania registered investment advisory firm (“Covato Research”) offering proprietary investment research products primarily, if not exclusively, to institutional investors. Christopher’s role at Covato/Lipsitz included discretionary management of retail client accounts and the provision of ancillary investment advice. At Covato Futures, Christopher solicited futures business exclusively for institutional clients, with a focus on trading equity index futures. At Covato Research, Christopher held the position of Vice President of Institutional and Retail Sales. In this role, his duties included portfolio management, the development of wealth-building strategies, the study of technical analysis, quantitative research, and risk management.
In addition to his role as the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Covato Capital Management, LLC, Christopher has had a long aviation career, serving as a Captain and/or First Officer for Atlas Air Inc. and other carriers on a variety of aircraft, including the Gulfstream G-1, Boeing 737-300, 747-400, 747-8F, and Boeing 747 LCF.
